  The Challenge

  Design a stairwell at the Lanier Theological Library that could accommodate large volumes of visitors while creating a grand, awe-inspiring transition into the great hall.

  The Approach

  Recreate the ribbed vaulted ceiling inspired by Christ Church at the University of Oxford in England using custom CastWorks® GRG forms, developing 3D models to overcome the room’s asymmetry and ensure precise installation.

  The Results

  The finished ceiling, complete with a faux limestone finish, became the crowning feature of the stairwell, creating a dramatic, awe-inspiring space that draws visitors’ eyes upward.
